Dental veneers

Dental veneers are an interesting solution for correcting the appearance of a smile. There are two types of dental veneers. Composite and ceramic veneers.

Composite veneers

A composite resin (white filling) is applied to the tooth to correct its color, shape or orientation. Less costly than porcelain veneers, this rapid technique often delivers highly satisfactory results. However, over the years, the color of the veneer may fade more or less rapidly, depending on the patient’s lifestyle habits (smoking, coffee, tea, herbal tea, wine).

Ceramic veneers

Manufactured in a laboratory, a ceramic veneer is a thin layer of ceramic cemented onto the tooth to partially cover it. As with composite veneers, this type of veneer can be used to correct any form of undesirable tooth defect. However, the results achieved with ceramic veneers are often superior to those of composite veneers, as they offer a more natural appearance and a more attractive finish. What’s more, their strength and durability are superior to composite.
