Pit and fissure sealant
Pit and fissure sealant
Dental sealant is a preventive treatment designed to counter the formation of cavities. The sealant is applied to the surface of molars or premolars to prevent the infiltration of bacteria into the fissures. Sealer is an effective way of preventing plaque from settling in areas that are difficult to reach with a toothbrush. Dental grooves are often thinner than the bristles of a toothbrush, so you can’t brush out everything. We recommend the application of sealants as an effective means of preventing tooth decay, particularly in children.
