Orthodontics
What is orthodontics?
Orthodontics checks, aligns and corrects growing (in children and adolescents) and mature (in adults) dentofacial structures. It also serves to prevent, diagnose and treat anomalies related to these structures. Orthodontics brings teeth into the desired position by applying constant pressure over a period of months or years, using orthodontic splints (braces) or other appliances (extraoral anchorage, removable appliances and retainers).
